Welcome to GloPay! This guide will walk you through setting up your freelancer profile so you can begin invoicing international business clients seamlessly.

Prerequisites: What You’ll Need
Before you begin the onboarding process, ensure you have the following ready:
-
A valid personal email address.
-
A government-issued ID (Passport or National ID card) for identity verification.
-
A smartphone or webcam to complete a secure identity scan.
-
Your personal payout details (either your bank account number and routing/SWIFT details, or your Revolut Revtag username).
Eligibility Requirement: To legally utilize GloPay, you must not be a physical resident of Estonia, nor can you be an active tax resident of Estonia.
Step-by-Step Onboarding Sequence
Step 1: Initial Sign-Up
-
Navigate to the GloPay registration form.
-
Enter your full legal name and email address.
-
Review and accept the GloPay Privacy Policy.
-
Click Sign Up.
Note on Activation: You will receive an automated activation email with the subject line “Password Reset”. Click the link inside this email to set your secure password and log into the platform for the first time.
Because your account is brand new, you must provide a few additional details before your profile is fully operational. Please note that certain dashboard features will remain locked until your identity verification is complete.
Step 2: Provide Contact Details
GloPay is legally mandated to verify the identity and location of our users under global financial regulations.
-
Follow the on-screen prompts immediately after your first login, or manually navigate to: MY ACCOUNT > Account & Settings > Contact Details.
-
Enter your current physical address, phone number, citizenship, and primary country of tax residency.
Step 3: Verify Your Identity
We partner with Veriff, a secure, industry-leading identity verification platform, to safely process your data.
-
Click the Start Verification button on your dashboard.
-
Scan the on-screen QR code using your smartphone camera, or proceed via webcam.
-
Follow the mobile prompts to snap a clear selfie and photograph your government-issued national ID card or passport.
Privacy & Maintenance: Your documents are securely processed directly by Veriff and are not stored by GloPay. If your document expires in the future, or if your account requires routine re-verification, you will receive an email notification and an alert badge within your Account Settings view.
Step 4: Establish Your Partnership Legal Framework
GloPay bridges the gap between independent contractors and enterprise clients through a unique legal structure.
-
Inside your dashboard, follow the setup wizard to establish a Contractual Partnership between yourself (as an independent contractor) and GloPay’s legal entity in Estonia.
-
Carefully read through the generated Partnership Agreement and review the standard Sales Agreement that your partnership will use to bill clients.
Important Legal Context: This structure is a private contractual partnership and is not registered in the public Estonian Business Registry. This approved framework legally permits your partnership to utilize GloPay’s corporate VAT number when issuing invoices to your business clients.
Step 5: Configure Payout Bank Details
When your clients pay your invoices, the funds land directly in your secure GloPay balance. To transfer funds out of the platform, you must link a personal bank account or a personal Revolut account.
-
Flexible Payout Control: Payouts are entirely manual and controlled by you. By default, funds remain safely in your GloPay balance until you actively initiate a withdrawal. This allows you to accumulate earnings from multiple invoices and withdraw them either in full or in part at your convenience.
-
Supported Payment Networks: GloPay currently supports payouts to Eurozone bank accounts (SEPA/IBAN), ACH and Fedwire (United States), international bank accounts (SWIFT), and personal Revolut accounts (via Revtag).
Step 6: Account Security
Protecting your financial data is our top priority. Navigate to the Security tab within your settings to manage your credentials:
-
Password Management: Update or reset your account password at any time.
-
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): We highly recommend enabling 2FA. Connecting a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) mobile application—such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator—adds an essential layer of security to your payouts and profile data.
