How Does GloPay Work?
GloPay works by establishing a legal Estonian partnership entity that both you and GloPay own equally. This process is rapid and occurs automatically in the background during your signup process.
Through that entity and by using our suite of online tools you’re able to easily invoice your clients just like a company would, without needing to go through the work and challenges of setting up a company on your own.
Who Can Use GloPay?
If you’re a freelancer, contractor, or a professional who works directly for your own clients, you can most likely use GloPay.
We’re able to offer our services to individuals that meet all of these criteria:
- You’re not a physical resident or tax resident of Estonia
- You’re not a physical resident or tax resident of certain countries that are on international sanctions lists
- You plan to use GloPay only for legitimate professional services
- You’re able to complete legally-required identity verification to comply with KYC and anti-money laundering laws

How Much Does GloPay Cost To Use?
As a GloPay user, there are zero up-front costs to you or your clients. No credit card is required to sign up and fully utilize the platform.
We operate on a revenue-sharing model that allows you to retain 95% of your billings while GloPay takes a flat 5% from each invoice paid. There are no other costs to you.
Is GloPay a Bank?
Nope. GloPay is not a bank or a financial institution. We partner with licensed banks and financial institutions for all financial transactions.
Do My Clients Need to Sign Up Too?
Nope! There’s nothing your clients need to do in order for you to invoice them with GloPay.
When you send them an invoice, they’ll first get an email asking them to accept the invoice via a secure personal link.
Once they do, they can proceed to pay the invoice normally. They don’t need to sign up or log in to approve or pay your invoices.
How Do I Tell My Clients I'm Using GloPay?
When you send an invoice through GloPay, your name is visible at the top and in all email correspondence pertaining to it, so your clients will always know the invoices are coming from you.
If it’s helpful, you can let your clients know in advance by telling them that GloPay is your invoicing solution, so your invoices will come from GloPay on your behalf.
What's Required to Complete Verification?
You’ll need to provide a valid government-issued identity card or passport and be prepared to take a selfie. If you don’t have a mobile phone, it’s also possible to complete the process using a laptop or desktop with a webcam.
Requirements vary slightly from country to country. The verification tool will guide you through the process.
How Long Does Verification Take?
In most cases our identity verification partners complete the process in just a few seconds.
If for some reason the process can’t be completed automatically it will then go to manual review, and then you can expect a decision by the next business day.
How Can My Clients Pay?
On each invoice you send, your clients will receive clear and easy instructions guiding them to make payment. At launch, we accept payment by bank transfer.
We’re also actively working on adding additional payment options, like bank and credit cards, in the near future.
How Quickly Will I Receive My Money?
From the moment your client pays your invoice, it takes about one business day for the money to arrive in your GloPay balance.
You can initiate a withdrawal at any time as long as the amount of the withdrawal does not exceed the total funds available in your balance.
Once you do, the time it takes the money to arrive in your external bank account depends on the destination country and agreements between international banks, but typically you can expect to receive the transfer within 1-5 business days.
